| CranioSacral Therapy is provided based on the teaching's of Dr. Upledger. It is provided using a light touch of 5 grams of pressure (the weight of a nickel). CranioSacral Therapy focuses on restrictions to the skull, spinal column and pelvis. The goal is to alleviate any restrictions in order to allow the cerebral spinal fluid to flow unobstructed. Anyone will benefit from CST. It has shown to be useful in individuals suffering from chronic pain, acute pain, headaches, autism, learning disabilities, seizure disorders, MS, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia and depression. T For the horse, CST can help relieve pain & alleviate stiffness. If your horse is exhibiting behavioral issues, it is very often due to pain and soreness. CST works with the structures of the nervous system to address these issues. It is especially beneficial for back pain. It should also be used to maintain health and wellness. CranioSacral Therapy is contraindicated in anyone who cannot tolerate a change in intracranial pressure. It is not intended to diagnose or cure any illness, disease, or dysfunction. | Reiki Therapy is based on the Usui teachings. Reiki means Universal Life Force Energy. This energy is channeled from one person to another. It allows an individual to become rebalanced and begin to self-heal. During a session the practitioner will lay their hands lightly on the person over different parts but focusing on the areas known as the 7 Chakras. Any area in the body that need further attunement will also be focused on. At different times the practitioner might even work "hands off" the body if needed. This is just as effective because energy flows all around us and through us. The person will still receive 100% benefit from this intervention. Reiki is a positive modality for everyone. It is especially good for pain issues as well as any emotional problems. For horses, Reiki is especially beneficial for rescue horses, very high strung horses who cannot tolerate even the lightest touch, foals and other young horses. |
